It’s the time of year when we must monitor for ambrosia beetles, and if necessary, begin treatments with bifenthrin. This may be more of an issue in southern states, but it is moving north, so be vigilant.If you or your orchard managers have small trees less than 4″ diameter at the base, then please monitor for beetles and if you discover a problem, or you have experienced issues in the past, treat your trees with bifenthrin. (Be Safe, follow label directions, use appropriate PPE!)
