Connor McInerney, an alumnus of Penn State and our Orchard Intern program, has just created a project to collect all observations of American chestnuts on the popular nature app, iNaturalist. Now, whenever an observation of American chestnuts in the states of PA and NJ is uploaded to iNaturalist, it will be imported into the project page. There, the observations can be further identified and analyzed.
