There are so many ways that members like you can help us to raise funds for our restoration mission. Please check out the list below and see if there is a good fit for you. And if you have other suggestions please email the Chapter Administrator, Jean Najjar at mail@patacf.org.

Corporate Employee Matches

Our Chapter has benefited in the past from corporate matching gifts offered to employees. Sixty-five percent of Fortune 500 companies and many others offer matching gifts including:

• BP British Petroleum
• General Electric
• Soros Fund Management
• Gap Corporation
• ExxonMobil
• CarMax
• Johnson & Johnson
• Microsoft
• Merck & Co.

Even if you are retired you may be able to participate in this matching program. Please check with your employer to see if they will match donations.

Facebook Fundraisers

Are you still on Facebook? Make it work for the restoration of the American chestnut. Facebook provides a platform for individuals to create their own fundraiser for their favorite causes.  Facebook does not charge fees on fundraisers for nonprofits and all you have to do is follow this link to their simple instructions. These fundraisers do count on you sharing your fundraiser with friends on Facebook but it could be worth a try. One member created a Facebook fundraiser for her birthday last year and raised $200 for our chapter. 

Donations of Crafts to Sell 

At many events, we offer donated hand-crafted items like hand-turned chestnut bowls and wooden spoons.  Proceeds from all these products go to the PA/NJ Chapter.
