Festival of Wood – Grey Towers

When: August 4 (10 am – 5 pm) August 5 (10 am – 4 pm)

FOW 2017 (6)Help represent our Chapter at this two-day family event focused on environmental education at historic Grey Towers — the summer retreat of Gifford Pinchot, two-time Governor and the first Chief of the US Forest Service.

Volunteer for a couple hours to share your knowledge and interest in the American chestnut. Our display provides a helpful visual aid for sharing the whole story including its: life, death, and birth. We will also provide volunteers with educational handouts, membership information and pencils and stickers for the kids.?

New Jersey Wild Outdoor Expo

When: September 8th (10:00 am – 5:00 pm) and September 9th 10:00 am – 5:00 pm
Where: 299 East Colliers Mill Road New Egypt, NJ 08533

Description:Stop by and say hello to our volunteers at this free family event. The New Jersey WILD Outdoor Expo celebrates the state’s bountiful natural resources and rich outdoor heritage. The event is held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily the weekend after Labor Day each year at the Colliers Mills Wildlife Management Area in Jackson Township, Ocean County.

The Expo is free of charge and takes place rain or shine.
