Inoculations at Penn State: 

Where: Arboretum at Penn State Orchard, University Park, PA
Monday, June 18th and Tuesday, June 19th

When: Thursday, June 21st and Friday, June 22nd

Lancaster County, PA

Inoculations at the House Rock Orchard, PA:  (Dates to be determined):
Tim Eck is seeking volunteers to help with Inoculations at the House Rock Orchard. Volunteers will meet at 9 AM at the House Rock Orchard, one mile due south of Pequea PA past the end of House Rock Rd.  Bring a lawn chair, a pair of gloves, water, a lopper and a utility knife.  Please drive into the preserve and DO NOT PARK ON HOUSE ROCK RD. Festival of Wood – Grey Towers

FOW 2017 (6)Help represent our Chapter at this two-day family event focused on environmental education at historic Grey Towers — the summer retreat of Gifford Pinchot, two-time Governor and the first Chief of the US Forest Service.

Volunteer for a couple hours to share your knowledge and interest in the American chestnut. Our display provides a helpful visual aid for sharing the whole story including its: life, death, and birth. We will also provide volunteers with educational handouts, membership information and pencils and stickers for the kids.?

Penn State Ag Progress Days

Description: This large outdoor agricultural exposition is held each year at the Russell E. Larson Agricultural Research Center in Pennsylvania Furnace — just nine miles Southwest of State College PA.

New Jersey Wild Outdoor Expo

When: September 8th (10:00 am – 5:00 pm) and September 9th 10:00 am – 5:00 pm

Where: 299 East Colliers Mill Road New Egypt, NJ 08533

Description:Stop by and say hello to our volunteers at this free family event. The New Jersey WILD Outdoor Expo celebrates the state’s bountiful natural resources and rich outdoor heritage. The event is held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily the weekend after Labor Day each year at the Colliers Mills Wildlife Management Area in Jackson Township, Ocean County.

The Expo is free of charge and takes place rain or shine.

West Milford Autumn Lights Festival

Description: Chapter President Clark Beebe has managed this event for several years. It is a big event with thousands of attendees and a great opportunity to reach out to potential new members.
