PA Chapter Welcomes Peter Reinhart as our New Treasurer
The Board of PA-TACF takes pleasure in introducing Peter Reinhart as our new treasurer. Peter was one of several great candidates the Executive Committee of our Board interviewed to take on this role when Andrew Huston stepped down this winter.
The Treasurer role is a natural fit for Peter. He has deep expertise in finance with a BA in Economics and Management from Moravian College and is currently a Vice President at Janney Montgomery Scott in Philadelphia.
Along with this background in finance, Peter has a strong conservation ethic. He is the current Treasurer for a private 2,400-acre hunting and fishing club in Bushkill, Pennsylvania and has been active in initiating several conservation efforts including, a Golden-winged warbler initiative, a forest stand improvement for wildlife, and an early successional habitat development for wildlife. He is also an active member and volunteer for the Pennsylvania Bluebird Society.
Peter has been a member of PA-TACF since 2017 and is in the beginning stages of implementing an American chestnut orchard himself. He lives in Allentown, PA with his wife Denise. They enjoy bird watching, hiking, promoting conservation efforts and working to improve wildlife habitat for future generations.
Board and staff who have had a chance to work with Peter are thrilled to have his enthusiastic engagement and expertise. He is already hard at work for our Chapter; helping to oversee and improve our Quickbook accounting systems.
Please be sure to give Peter and his wife Denise a warm chestnut welcome at our Spring Growers Meeting coming up on April 6th.
